Tesla here is a vampire, but canon makes it very explicit that this means that he's another species and not anything that could actually be considered undead. He's also technically half-human, if that would affect anything. (His canon is... weird, to say the least.)

Kuja is a Genome, and as such isn't human. However, one of the themes in his canon is the idea of souls, so there might be something there to be played with if you want?
