Neither did the French apparently? But I think Canada's become a lot more independent in my time, although the Queen's still on their money and whatever.

Hey, America's not totally a bad influence. There's mostly a friendly rivalry going on.

Right. Little rough at first, but mostly forgiven for burning down the White House in exchange for a cup of maple syrup and an extra bridge.

I think English gave the orders but Canadians kicked down the door. Kind of rude for a country of unfailing politeness, but I have met some Canadians who are utter bitches.
the_ex_in_xp: (Easy to forgive you @ the end of the day)

[personal profile] the_ex_in_xp 2013-01-14 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Was that rude sounding? I mostly meant how not everybody can be nice, or not everyone can be bitches.

Eh, sorry. I don't think I've been in Canada enough to pick up on the general politeisms.

[slight eyebrow raise because MY TERRIBLE CHOICES ARE STILL CHOICES but, clears throat]

But Wales and Scotland are a yes? Maybe it's Welsh countryside with imported castles from the mainland of Europe...
the_ex_in_xp: (...sometimes it's very hard to love you)

If they are, it wouldn't be where anyone would miss it. Even if it fits on the silly evil scale, steal the Eiffel Tower, steal the Statue of Liberty, steal the moon...

Well, they get a lot of stuff outside of camp--oh, you mean the moon?
the_ex_in_xp: (Experimenting can a be long-range study)

[well, compared to hormonal super-powered vegans who punch the moon, yes, they are pretty inefficient]

I guess looks can be a little deceiving...
the_ex_in_xp: (Are you trying to get formidable with me)

[personal profile] the_ex_in_xp 2013-01-21 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Uh, about the size of an airplane--er, a ship? Like, maybe little big bigger than a schooner? I'm not a big nautical fan.

And I've never ridden one, like, in space. But I've done the zero gravity thing before. It's something astronauts train in...

Mostly. I think we're getting to the point where we're trying to send up millionaires and pop stars for the novelty of it all.
